Tony Lewis is quite simply a comedian with the charismatic style and wit of the Las Vegas greats! He completed his first feature film in 2011 (Big Mamma’s Boy) and his first American tour in 2013 which included Las Vegas, Atlantic City, New York, Florida, and Jersey. This tour included work on live television in America and radio in conjunction with performing in some beautiful theatres and casino showrooms.
Tony continues to tour nationally within Australia and appears live in his stand-up comedy shows, and corporate events. He is heralded by his growing legion of fans as best in his field. His shows have earned the reputation of audiences that want to return again and again. Tony has been performing for over 30 years on stage, television and film. He has appeared on countless television commercials as well as live to air television. Tony’s TV credits include The Bert Newton Show, The Steve Vizard Show, GMA, The Peter Couchman Show, Acropolis Now, Fast Forward, GRTV and Las Vegas Rocks on live television in the USA.
From his first live show at the 1983 at Comics Night Live, he has continued to demonstrate he has the versatility to adapt to all facets of the entertainment mediums and venues. Tony also performed in the Australian Opera, and was employed by Paramount Pictures in the television production of Mission Impossible. Tony’s remarkable resemblance to Jerry Lewis makes him one of the world’s only Jerry Lewis impersonator/lookalike and a premier entertainer in his own right.
Tony’s powerful voice allows him to also pay tribute to other great voices including Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Elvis and the like. Tony has performed and toured for the last three decades and has entertained audiences with his impressions of the Nutty Professor, Jerry the kid, and Buddy Love. From Stallone to John Travolta, Tony’s incredible range of characters also includes Gino from Italy, George the Greek, the Chinese Cook, Vasko the kick boxer, and Gary the Aussie just to name a few.
Having this uncanny ability to impersonate celebrity voices and accents has also given Tony exposure and voice over work on radio commercials. Tony has been the voice of Don Adams (Get Smart), Rocky Balboa, Dean and Jerry, Eddie Murphy, Elvis and Arnold Schwarzenegger on the air waves. Tony is currently in and out of the USA touring as Jerry, and is known worldwide as the quintessential Jerry Lewis tribute artist.
Since his humble beginnings, Tony continues to donate time for fundraising events. He has raised money and headlined many shows for children with Leukaemia, children that require wheelchairs, children with MS, and children with Autism.
In recent times, Tony was invited to be a guest on the international documentary Jerry Lewis-the man behind the clown (2016). Tony has been recognised by the AGVA (American Guild of Variety Artists) in the USA. Tony is described by his peers as a true cabaret artist with a touch of Vegas magic.
